I will be the first to admit that going to Helsinki and Budapest in February for a mini tour was extremely silly idea - especially anyone whon knows that my love for winter is only because it makes me love spring and summer more.
This is a special live set recorded at a very small private spontaneous dance and wakeful dreaming happening at 23 Windows Studio in Brooklyn Setember 26 into the 27th 2008. It recycles some of the Wisma Langit material in a new way and features allot of new stuff from track sketches from the summer. It also features a recording of the voice and words of Brad Will.

I played on the deck next to the hot tube looking out at the catskills from beautiful green field.

Images at the Mini Mad Science Ball
This is a live PA recorded at the mini mad scientist ball by Imagenode Camp on June 9 into the 10, 2007. It was performed with ableton Live in my "string theory" set up mode, where all elements for the composition are sepated and rearranged / composed into different strings that become the presention.
The event was ambient in style. This set stayed relatively ambient but did find its way in space haus and mind boogy arenas.
This contains a recording of the poetry and voice of Brad Will

The Return of Simple Pleasures
Dok from Amoeba Technolgy and I were suppose to play an ambient set at the event "Simple Pleasures" in the bedouin tent room at public opening of the new Danger Space in Bushwick Brooklyn. Somebody tried to use the sprinkler system as a jungle gym, resulting in a flood on the dancefloor. All sound turned off and the party cleared out. 6am it was only friends, family and hideway tweakers on the high ground for sunrise. This was the set that was the bridge back into a morning of space dancing.

The Back Door to Wisma Langit (Hotel Sky)
Drawing By Deb Yoon
This new album is made in the reflection of returning to New York City after years in the rice fields of Indonesia playing music daily on bronze metalaphones and gongs. This album genre is most likely minimal techno. I use a few classic electronic kick drum samples, but apart from that, the bass lines and ?kicks? are made from the gong agung (large gong that punctuate musical phrases) from central Java and Bali. The highs are usually Hindu prayer bells from Bali, high pitched metalaphones, and more often than not, insect calls cut into short percussive samples. The mids and melodies are almost all from gamelan instruments. Snares and other things marking breaks are mostly sourced from sticks striking bamboo, hand drums, and slamming of doors.

Waking: new songs by an old friend (the Saxaphone)
These are 3 tracks informally presented as an album. It was late January 2009, the heat has not worked in years at 23 windows studio for years. It was night and the patterns of thought were chasing away from me making forms of despair and frustration. The saxaphone I traded for German lesson's before moving to Berlin was long gone. Another one had found its way back into my life - a tenor sitting in the corner. Within moments the thoughts broke into non linear patterns circling me - all anxiety left and the path began to awake.

Remission
This is the first of a series of tracks coming out of the new material I gathered before the Khan Altay Festival in July 2008 also presented in the new Live set Threads in the Dream Blanket
This track made itself on a cold february night at 23 windows, all samples and melody lines as well as the text, were recorded in an open rolling format - then were remixed together - all said and done - about 25 minutes later the rack was born.
This track was released a few times in a few forms, it has one my favorite poems by azoteas, read by plasma with vocoder. It is a more epic styled driving minimal techno work.
Now available through beatsdigital.com are 320k mp3s and original WAV files of Zemi17 Space Haus music. They offer a reasonable price, with a easy to use User Interface.
If you are also a producer, I would probably rather trade tracks with you than have any kind of commercial exchange.
So send me an email at cicada at zemi17.net and we can work it out.
